In anticipation of the upcoming trilateral meeting between Beijing, Tehran, and Moscow, China has called for a diplomatic resolution to the issue of Iran’s nuclear program.
“China has always maintained that the Iranian nuclear issue should be addressed through diplomatic and political means,” stated Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a press conference.
Mao Ning emphasized the importance of restraint and dialogue to prevent any escalation regarding Iran’s nuclear activities. “We believe that all parties should remain calm to avoid an escalation concerning the Iranian nuclear issue and prevent it from leading to confrontation or conflict,” she added.
The trilateral meeting, set to take place in Beijing on March 14, will see representatives from China, Russia, and Iran exchanging views on the Iranian nuclear issue and other matters of mutual interest.
The discussions aim to find a peaceful and cooperative approach to address the concerns surrounding Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
As the international community closely watches the developments, China’s call for a diplomatic solution underscores the need for calm and constructive dialogue.
The upcoming meeting in Beijing represents a critical opportunity for the involved parties to work towards a resolution that ensures regional stability and global security.
