White House: “The Meeting Between the USA and Ukraine Was Productive”

The White House has described the meeting between the delegations of the United States and Ukraine, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as “productive.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the talks were “positive” and marked a significant step forward in the relations between the two countries.
The meeting, which included U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, along with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, focused on finding a solution for a ceasefire in the conflict with Russia. The delegations discussed various topics, including the proposal for a 30-day ceasefire, which received support from Kyiv.
According to sources close to the negotiations, the meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere and allowed for the addressing of many open issues. “We are making significant progress,” Waltz stated, emphasizing the importance of continuing to work together to achieve a peaceful solution.
The Jeddah talks represent an important step towards peace and stability in the region. As the delegations continue to work towards an agreement, the White House reiterated its commitment to supporting Ukraine and seeking diplomatic solutions to the conflict.
