Tension in the Conflict Situation.
In Moscow, “at the moment, everything seems calm, despite the news coming from Western media and even from Telegram channels. For now, the reports of clashes in Rostov-on-Don are unconfirmed. It seems to me that a solution has already been identified,” says Lanfranco Cirillo, the Italian entrepreneur with Russian citizenship, known as Putin’s architect, showing a certain optimism after the recent events in Russia.
“On the other hand,” he assures, “when there is a war and victories are attributed solely to one person or a group, rather than to all those who participated, problems and uncontrollable reactions are just around the corner,” referring to the ongoing power struggle in Moscow. “It will take some more time to understand, two or three days to realize if there is a possible solution in the open confrontation between Defense Minister Shoigu and Wagner’s leader, Prigozhin.”
“From my perspective, it seems unlikely that Prigozhin will make it to Moscow; it would be the beginning of a civil war. However, my impression is that this is purely an internal matter within Russia,” he predicts.

The name Lanfranco Cirillo, the Italian entrepreneur with Russian citizenship, known as Putin’s architect, is often associated with Putin’s monumental villa on the Black Sea in Gelendzhik, complete with bunkers and atomic-proof underground structures. “Regarding the bunker at the villa on the Black Sea, I can say that, yes, I had been on vacation in Positano at a hotel that had a tunnel with an elevator for access to the sea, and I was impressed by it. That’s where the idea of the descent to the sea in the villa came from…” is his response to AdnKronos, which asks if this could be the refuge for his friend Vladimir Putin during these dramatic hours for the Kremlin.
“However,” Cirillo is quick to point out, “I would like to emphasize that during the Cold War, numerous atomic bunkers were built in Moscow for all high-ranking state officials. Therefore, it is certainly not necessary to add underground tunnels spanning two thousand kilometers.”
Ukraine: Father Monge, “Putin’s sidelining does not pave the way for peace”
The Dominican friar, “Nuclear weapons in Prigozhin’s hands are more frightening.”
Sidelining Putin would not automatically mean a “smooth road” to peace. From Turkey, Father Claudio Monge, the Dominican in charge of the Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, observes the events involving Moscow with Prigozhin’s rebellion against Putin. “The weakness of the king
leads the leaders of the legions to challenge the sovereign to seize power. But a, still distant, sidelining of Putin does not mean a smooth road to peace with Ukraine,” he remarks via social media, warning, “Nuclear weapons in Prigozhin’s hands are more frightening!”
